Cricut Explore Air & Mother's Day

Just recently I purchased the Circut Explore Air from Joanne's and I must admit that I am already in LOVE with it! This thing is awesome! It will cut, score, and write! Not to mention that it cuts tons of different materials! I have only used it a few times, but I have made 4 pretty awesome, if I do say so myself, mother's day cards!

This was the first card I made, well the first Mother's Day Card, the Cricut came with the paper to make a card as soon as it was hooked up! This came straight out of the Cricut Design Space, all I had to do was load in the paper and hit go! Easy as Pie!

This card was the next one. The background design was available in Design Space, but the purple was a design I already had online! As I said before, this Cricut will cut AND write, so I chose to have it write "Happy Mother's Day" instead of having to glue each letter down separately.

I made both of these cards tonight- both of these also came straight from the Design Space, but I also customized a quote for the inside!

I can't wait to do so much more with this awesome machine! I have already thought of about 100000 ways to use it in my classroom next year! If you do a lot of crafting, scrapbooking, or even just want to save money on cards for EVERY occasion, I HIGHLY recommend getting one :)

Craziness Called Life

Wow ! It has even forever since I have posted! Life is crazy but it only gets worse when you throw it after school tutoring, new jobs, and graduate school!

Lots of things have happened since my last post.. 1) Daniel and I both purchased new cars-- this was definitely not planned, however his car motor blew up and we had no choice but to get him a new ride. 2) Daniel started a new job in January, and will start a different job with this same company in may! 3) I will finish my 4th class toward my masters degree tomorrow! and finally 5) I have been tutoring 3rd graders after school since we came back from Christmas Break.

I hope that I can get back on a steady blogging schedule when school is over for the year!

I am so excited to say I just signed up for my first kit of doTerra Essential Oils! If you have never heard of Essential Oils, stop what you are doing right now and look them up! doTerra oils are of the purest quality and are safe for children and pets! I plan to slowly refill my medicine cabinet with these oils and replace all the over the counter junk with ingredients I can't even pronounce. I have read and heard so many great things about doTerra, and essential oils in general, that I CANNOT wait to get started.

You can read about doTerra at www.doterra.com, as well as all over Pinterest!

If you decide you are interested in purchasing doTerra essential oils you can do so in 2 ways!

The first way is to buy at retail price. You can do this here at my website

or!

you can sign up to purchase oils at the wholesale price. This does require a 35$ sign up fee, however, the sign up fee is waived if you purchase a starter kit. If you wish to sign up and purchase oils at a wholesale price you can do that here. The form requires that you give a consultants name or number in order to sign up under them. My number is 1560243, Whitney Witty.

I plan to have many many many more post about the wonderful benefits of Essential Oils as I discover them in my own home!

Weekend Recap

Wow! I didn't realize how tired I would be after the first week back after Christmas break! I was exhausted! However, I had a wonderful weekend that was both relaxing and fun! Friday night, Daniel and I met up with my mom and grandma for dinner, hit up Walmart for a few things I needed for my school project this weekend, and then headed to his dad's house to play some Rook. Even after getting home late, I woke up fairly early on Saturday morning and started working on my latest project for my classroom. Once Daniel got up, we started cleaning up the house for the evening festivities! Daniel's sister, Megan, turned 21 on Monday so we wanted to take her out for a celebration meal. Then she and her boyfriend came to stay at our house for the night. We had a great time and many many laughs! They didn't leave until around 12:00 today, but Daniel and I were both so tired we took at nap on the couch right after they left :) I have plenty of school work left to do tonight so the hubby is getting pizza and we will have a warm evening IN! I can't wait to see what this week holds in store for us!

Happy New Year !

I absolutely love that I brought in 2015 just hanging out with my husband and another couple, along with their adorable daughter. However, we did stay out late and I did sleep way longer than I had planned. Not that it really matters since I had a bunch of nothin' to do today. Instead I spent the day reading about photography and looking at photography blogs. I'm not sure why this new obsession with photography came from but I am completely encompassed  with it at this point.

Today, I worked on a few more pictures from our honeymoon in the wonderful Ocracoke Island. Gosh I love that place!

I'm quite happy with the way these two photos turned out considering they were taken with the iphone and then edited in Picasa. I'm starting to think my love of editing pictures is going to take over the love of actually taking the picture!

And one picture of the bouquets I made for our lovely rustic country wedding!
